About Me

Hi! I'm Rory Dixon.

I was born and raised in England and graduated from university in 2012. Like many people in their early twenties, I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew I wanted adventure.

At 22 years old, I packed my bags and moved to Australia.

With no network, no safety net, and no real plan beyond making it work, I jumped straight into a commission-only sales role. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Over the next 15 years, I built a career in sales, business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Along the way, I helped build and scale multiple businesses, experienced incredible successes, made more mistakes than I can count, and learned first-hand what it takes to create something from nothing.

Australia became home.

It was also where I met my now-wife, Talya.

Together we've spent the last several years travelling the world, working remotely, and pursuing experiences that many people spend their entire lives talking about. We've now travelled to all seven continents and more than 50 countries together, exploring everything from the mountains of South America and the ice of Antarctica to remote villages in Madagascar and the streets of Havana.

Travel has become one of the greatest teachers in my life. It has exposed me to different cultures, different definitions of success, and different ways of living. More importantly, it has reminded me that there is no single blueprint for a good life.

Throughout all of this, I've remained obsessed with learning. Some of my greatest influences have come from books, mentors, business partners, family members, and everyday conversations with remarkable people from all walks of life.

One of the most influential people in my life was my grandfather, Pops. His perspective on family, friendship, generosity, hard work, and living life on your own terms shaped many of the values I still carry today.

Today, I split my time between business, travel, writing, and the people I care about most.

Live a Life You Love is my first book. It brings together the lessons, experiences, successes, failures, and observations I've collected throughout a journey that started with a one-way flight from England to Australia and continues today.
